Twixt is an abstract two-player strategy game invented by Alex Randolph in the early 60's in the 20th Century.

Twixt is played on a 24x24 board as shown below.

The Twixt Board

By placing pegs into the holes of the board both players are building links.
White wins when he can build an uninterrupted chain of links from the top to the bottom of the board whereas Black tries to build an uninterrupted chain of links from the left to the right side.
